据悉, 有四名加拿大学生在上周五晚加拿大学生于校园里酗酒滋事!!(可能是学校宿舍的学生)
目前, 学校在调查此事! 由于目前当地媒体插手此事, 将事情上升为种族冲突, 学校为宿舍学生发信, 劝告学生不要轻易对媒体发表建议!
具体的信件内容:

Good day, everyone.

We would like to address some concerns that you may have regarding the unfortunate incidents that occurred this weekend. We would also like to request your assistance in maintaining the safe and secure living environment that we have come to know and enjoy.

When an incident occurs on campus, rumours and gossip frequently circulate across the campus at a rapid rate. This usually happens much more quickly than the time it takes to determine the real facts about such incidents. UNB Saint John has established guidelines for dealing with such situations, and for investigating the facts behind them. The time taken by the University thoroughly investigate a situation may cause students to feel that nothing is being done or that there may be a more positive outcome if students take matters into their own hands. This is most definitely not the case, as proper investigation takes time and much effort.

Incidents such as those that occurred on the weekend are viewed as news by the media. No doubt, a number of you were approached by the media yesterday for comment. It is important for you to understand that you are in no way obliged to make comment. This is your decision, and one you should consider carefully before agreeing to speak. If you feel pressured by anyone to speak on a residence issue that makes you uncomfortable, please let us know immediately so that we may intervene on your behalf.

Should you have ANY questions, thoughts, information or concerns regarding the residence community, please contact the Residence Assistants, Steve, Bruce, or any member of the Residence Council. We are always available to listen.

Should you feel the need to be escorted to or from any location on campus, please contact a member of the residence life staff. We will be more than happy to accommodate your requests.

We also encourage you to take advantage of the many helpful resources that are available to you on campus. The Safety & Security department offers ‘safewalk’ escort services and there are emergency phones located throughout the campus. The office of Student Life and Support Services provides counseling and spiritual assistance whenever required. The Student Representative Council offers an information centre, open council meetings and many clubs and societies that can help you. If you are unsure if there is a resource to match your needs, please talk to one of the residence life staff.

因为周五晚上的一起国际学生和加拿大学生的fight,周末有四个人在莫名其妙的情况下袭击了这位同学,并且辱骂他,涉及种族歧视(棕色),前后两次,鼻子被打出血,腹部也被袭击.说让他离开加拿大等等(当然用的都是脏话).而学校的security不知道是怎么工作的,居然发生了一次还不加强警惕发生了第二次.不多说了,这次事情非常严重,不知道中国学生会不会也有危险.International Office十分重视,国际学生也许最近该警惕一些.

哪有，本地报纸根本就没有讲种族问题是发生冲突的第一原因。本地报纸我已经看了，其实就是周五晚到周六，巴基斯坦的学生在大食堂搞了个TOGO的聚会，后来有的身份不明的白人男性进去捣乱，打扰一堆情侣跳舞，并伸中指挑衅才发生的冲突；大约有30人参与。

周日早上10：30，一名叫“Malik”的三年级商科学生在从书店那个门出来时被四名白人殴打，他奋力逃脱，在校警赶到时，那四名不明身份的白人已经不知去向了，市警察局正在侦破中，由於Malik先生仅仅看到正面打他的那个白人的脸，在一定程度上对侦破造成了困难。

周五事后，目击者之一的Mr.Shipley无法确定那个来闹事的白人是不是学生。

大家要是见了媒体就说自己现在在unb sj觉得很不安全,觉得学校很无能.
