UNB Saint John has recently changed its policy concerning the number of attempts
at courses that will be permitted. In the past, a withdrawal (W) would not be
counted as one of the three attempts allowed at a course. Starting with the
Spring 2004 session, withdrawals will be included in the number of attempts to
complete a course. Therefore, students who have repeatedly withdrawn from a
course in the past may find that they are not able to register in the course
again.

If you are unable to register in a course due to your having exceeded the number
of attempts permitted, you must complete and submit a Permission and Request
Form to seek permission to enrol in the course again. Along with the Permission
and Request Form, you must also include an unofficial transcript and a letter
detailing what steps you will take to improve your chances of success if allowed
to enrol again.

Please note that requesting permission is not a guarantee that you will be
allowed to enrol in the course again.
