19 岁的Katie拥有一种独特的嗓音，如果硬要把她当成「英国版Norah Jones」，还不如说她更接近Eva Cassidy。多变化的歌声和情绪起伏刚好和专辑要呈现的老蓝调和Jazz调调的歌曲吻合，而她擅长的吉他也有莫大发挥，加上Mike Batt的多首创作，使得《Call Off The Search》原创味道浓厚，其中她翻唱英国蓝调英雄John Mayall的64年经典曲〈Crawling Up A Hill〉流畅的演绎和歌声的掌握都让人惊艳不已；*到了俏皮的〈My Aphrodisiac Is You〉，Katie又化身成一位柔媚歌姬，把歌词中的复古性感飙到极限，而不管是著名经典〈Learnin The Blues〉或是Randy Newman的旷世名曲〈I Think Its Going to Rain Today〉，Katie的版本同样不遑多让。当然，也有如首支单曲〈The Closest Thing To Crazy〉这般浪漫至性的恋曲，以少女的口吻娓娓道来，加上弦乐的编曲，那种举棋不定的不安自然征服人心。我特别喜欢的是〈Blame It On The Moon〉，复古的感觉，如果搭配一个落寞的爱情电影画面，会挺棒的；〈Tiger In The Night〉则有份清新的告白。

不 过，要说整张专辑最让人深深动容的加分歌曲，绝对由〈Faraway Voice〉拔得头筹，这是Katie特别向偶像Eva Cassidy致敬所独自创作的歌曲，从歌声和风格都可听出她受Eva影响至深，歌曲一开始的吟唱马上让人回想到Eva歌声风采，那浓烈的想念灵魂叫人不 忍却也要坚强，也看到了一位年轻歌手怎样朝偶像的步伐前进。
