An adult and two youths are facing weapons charges following attacks on Chinese students near the University of New Brunswick in Saint John.

Police say the students were walking in the area over the past two weekends, each time in the early morning hours, when they were attacked by three people.

The three charged have pleaded not guilty, and are to appear in court Friday for a bail hearing. Saint John police say they expect to lay more charges.

The adult charged is 19-year-old Jonathan Clifford Martin.

The others cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

今天的报纸 “THE CITY"的头版也有关于3个嫌疑人的报道，版面占的不少，（saint john的报业终于有重要的新闻报道了）。好像除了一个age在19外，其他两个一个为age 17，另一个是15。报纸上有副照片好像是woodheaven公车亭的玻璃上被人用什么喷漆写着 “XXX go back home”的字样，今天好像已经被擦掉了。
