1216是我们通常说的会计1。1218是LAB，意思是或，你将来如果想主修会计的话，你就非要上1218。而且，1218不上课的。直接考试。所以，你要是不准备主修会计，读了这门等于没用。而且，也只有一个学分。

那可以和1216一起选吗？？什么时候会考试啊？？是期末？？具体有哪些教材吗？？

Degree Requirements: This is a required course for the BBA with a major in Accounting. It is a prerequisite to BA3224 and BA3235.

Prerequisites: A “C” or better in BA1216

Course Description: A self-paced course that teaches the basics of a manual accounting system.

Course Objectives:
Primary: 1) To introduce the participant to the recording process used in a manual accounting system
2) To introduce the participant to the recording process for merchandising companies.
3) To introduce the participant to subsidiary ledgers and special journals
Secondary: 1) For the participant to further develop their learning
skills, learning to learn through independent study.
2) For the participant to further develop their ability to work independently.

Evaluation: The course is Pass/Fail.
This is determined based on the student’s performance on the exam which is to be administered at a date and time determined to be convenient. The exam will be administered no sooner than three weeks after the student has given the instructor notice of their intent to write the exam. It should be noted that the student must have a passing grade prior to the first class period of BA3224 and/or BA3235; therefore the student should make arrangements well in advance in the even that the student does not pass on the first attempt.

Student Responsibilities:
The student is responsible for learning all the material covered in the required textbook. If the student has questions they should be directed toward one of the accounting faculty at UNB Saint John. (Mark Mellon, Cathie Hurley, Eileen Pike, Judith Dunstan). Solutions to the problems in the text are on reserve in the library. Request the “Solutions Manual” in the book reserve area. As previously stated, the student is responsible for contacting the facilitator so that arrangements can be made to write the exam. A minimum of three weeks notice is required, and the facilitator reserves the right to only set an exam when there is a sufficient number of participants ready to write.
