Traffic interruptions occurring throughout Saint John due to necessary infrastructure upgrades

The following traffic interruptions will be occurring throughout Saint John over the next number of months due to necessary upgrades to City of Saint John infrastructure.

Manawagonish Road

Beginning April 8, 2009 - Watermain, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Installation and Street Reconstruction.

• One Lane of Alternating Traffic

• Projected Completion: August 31, 2009

Brunswick Drive and Paul Harris Street

Beginning April 9, 2009 – Watermain and Storm Sewer Installation and Street Reconstruction.

• Paul Harris Street closed from April 13 to May 11. Portions of Brunswick Drive closed and traffic re-routed as project progresses.

• Projected Completion: July 31, 2009

Princess Street (Prince William Street to Charlotte Street)

Beginning April 13, 2009 - Watermain, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Installation and Street Reconstruction.

• Princess Street closed to through traffic between Germain and Prince William Streets until July 6, 2009.

• Princess Street closed to through traffic between Sydney and Charlotte Streets travelling in the Westerly direction only, until May 29, 2009.

• Princess Street closed to through traffic between Charlotte and Germain Streets from July 6, 2009 to October 9, 2009, as project progresses.

• One driving lane open overnight.

• Projected Completion: October 9, 2009

Braemar Drive and Parkhill Drive

Beginning April 13, 2009 - Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Renewal, Storm Sewer Extension, and Street Reconstruction.

• Parkhill Drive between Byron Street and Golden Grove Road closed to through traffic until April 24, 2009.

• Braemar Drive closed to through traffic from April 27, 2009 to June 12, 2009, as project progresses.

• Projected Completion: July 3, 2009

University Avenue

Beginning April 20, 2009 - New Sidewalk & Ditch Reconstruction (University Ave) and Concrete Islands (at intersection of Sandy Point Road and Tucker Park Road).

• Westbound traffic on University Avenue reduced to one lane.

• Projected Completion: May 29, 2009
