Change to crosswalk signals at Union St./Waterloo St./Sydney St. intersection

The media and public are advised that there are changes in the traffic lights at the Union Street/Waterloo Street/Sydney Street intersection.

Vehicle lanes and the parallel crosswalks now have the Right-of-Way at the same time, which is more typical of signalized intersections in the City. Pedestrians must cross within the designated crosswalks only when the pedestrian light indicates they can do so. Vehicles that are turning must yield to the pedestrians.

These changes are part of a larger initiative to improve traffic flow in the Uptown area.
