We are looking for a summer student for Product Management to work in the Saint John office. Following are the requirements. The Product Management Intern will provide valuable content for product and documentation, solicit customer/partner feedback, accelerate customer/partner success with Genesys products, and gather market data about product use that is critical to product strategy.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Work with SDK product team (especially the Developer Program Manager and Product Manager) to identify and execute key improvements that impact SDK developers and sales of Genesys SDKs/Connectors.
Setup and administer Unix based testing environments.
Install and configure complex distributed software components.
Assist in installation and configuration of version control.
Assist in various ongoing research projects – research, design, development, testing.
Moderate for DevZone forums.
Make a DVD capture of DevZone content.
Make a DVD for a Developer Environment (vmware image) that we can distribute to developers. This will entail some of the following:
Working out licensing issues for vmware, windows, visual studio, etc.
Creating a readme that describes what to do to get the image ready to use (not much here, but needs things like “Make sure you have vmware installed” and crap like that).
Ensuring latest docs/abs/samples/sdks/etc is all there.
Ensuring a 1yr license for Genesys products is there.
Making sure everything is installed/configured properly (can ask for assistance to test out the image).
Facilitate one of the Developer Event breakouts.
Create content and emcee one developer webinar, ‘Channel 9’ type video clip, or equivalent.
Research and suggest ideas to enhance DevZone and developer community.
Create a mapping of SDK customers/partners with the SDK they use and types of integrations they’re doing. This may be accomplished by direct communication with customers/partners, via Siebel/Cognos data, a new developer survey, and any other method which would produce the required mapping.
Work with Finance as necessary to simplify Cognos data/reports for recognizing SDK/connector revenue.




Qualifications/Requirements:





The ideal candidate is enrolled in a post-secondary technology program. He or she should be interested in learning new material very rapidly and able to work effectively with limited supervision.



Familiarity with some or all of the following technologies would be considered an asset:



· TCP/IP networking, Unix/Linux, Oracle/SQL Server, C#, VB.NET, C++, F#, .NET Framework, SOA, WCF, REST, WF, WPF, ASP.NET, Silverlight, Azure, Objective-C, Cocoa
