HINI流感来袭

With the H1N1 virus continuing to spread in New Brunswick, it's possible that the virus has come to UNB's campuses.

No cases of H1N1 have yet been confirmed within our university community; however, a few employees have been home due to flu-like symptoms. We urge the campus communities to remain vigilant in taking preventative action to minimize the spread of the virus.

The following are some measures that will help prevent the spread of viruses:

1. Stay home if you're sick.
2. Wash your hands often and thoroughly-for at least 20 seconds-in warm soapy water or use one of the many hand-sanitizers that have been installed throughout our campus system.
3. Cough and sneeze in your sleeve, not your hand.
4. Keep common surfaces and items clean and disinfected.
5. Do not share personal items such as cell phones and dishes.


UNB's Pandemic Planning Committee has been working diligently on preparing for the potential increase in H1N1 cases in our community. You can expect to see further preventative and awareness measures implemented.
