Fredericton Police Force investigators are looking into a report of a robbery on Queen Street at 5:10 p.m. Sunday evening near 520 Queen St., which is in front of the Eastside Board Supply store.

A woman may have been at the X-Citement Video store located at 558 Queen St. It's unclear if she was a customer or a worker leaving the business at 5 p.m. A woman answering the phone at X-Citement Video on Monday declined to comment.

"A woman was walking on Queen Street and she was approached from behind and a suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from her," said police spokesman Sgt. Tim Durling.

The man then fled along Queen Street, according to the statement given to police by the complainant.

The woman described the robber as a white male with brownish hair, shorts, a grey shirt, white socks and sneakers.

"There was no indication of a weapon, nor any verbal threat," Durling said.

The man said something to the woman, which prompted her to hand over a sum of money, Durling said. Investigators aren't disclosing what the man said, nor how much money was taken.

The woman wasn't harmed, Durling said.
