周六募捐活动需要志愿者

本周六有一场大型募捐活动，名叫Shinerama。是针对一个遗传性疾病的募捐，此活动贯穿各大城市，并有悠久历史。现需志愿者，活动将从早上8点左右开始到下午2点。将在downtown或者公园进行募捐。志愿者将有饮料和食物提供。志愿者也会提供reference letter。

Every year, incoming first year students participate during Orientation week in a charity event called Shinerama.
Most of you probably partook in it your first year. I would like to take this time and extend an offer to your society
in which you have the opportunity to partake in this charity event again.
This year UNB Shinerama is looking to try and recruit 1000 student to help us raise our highest goal ever of
$30,000. The only way possible is with your help on top of those incoming first year students that will partake in the
day’s event. Shinerama was started in 1964 at Wilfred Laurier University and has since grown to encompass over
60 + colleges and universities from coast to coast.
With your help, you can join over 40,000 other students by raising money to help find a cure or an effective means
of control for cystic fibrosis. Currently, cystic fibrosis is the most common, fatal, inherited genetic disease of young
Canadian which main affects the lungs and the digestive system. Since its inception in 1964, the survival rate for
those living with CF has risen from 4 years of age to an average age of 40. However, it still remains fatal in all
cases.
Since 1973, students at UNB have contributed $549, 607 in the fight against cystic fibrosis. In 2010 UNB raised
$10,000 for Shinerama. On Saturday September 10th, we will once again be taking to the streets of Fredericton
to shine shoes, wash cars, play music, have barbecues and do whatever it takes to raise funds to battle this deadly
disease.
Our Request:
With your help, you and your fellow society members can help us reach our goal of $30,000 on Saturday September
10th by participating alongside incoming first year students to raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis.
