N.B. stops accepting immigration applicants from China following review-雅虎新闻

FREDERICTON - New Brunswick has halted all applications under a Chinese immigration pilot project following an internal review of the province's nominee program.

The decision announced Wednesday follows a review by auditor general Kim MacPherson, who in February raised concerns about the provincial nominee program.

MacPherson noted that the province accepted more than 5,500 immigrants under the nominee program between 1999 and 2009 but didn't track where they ended up living.

The provincial government said it has withdrawn nomination applications made at visa offices in Hong Kong and Beijing.

As well, applications under the provincial nominee program have been turned down.

Labour Minister Martine Coulombe acknowledged there are areas within the program that need to be improved and said the province is working with Ottawa to do that.

MacPherson said in her report that there was no way of determining how many immigrants maintained full-time employment or if applicants made the required investment of at least $125,000 in provincial businesses.

Without that information, she said it's impossible to report on the program's performance.

MacPherson said that while the Charter of Rights and Freedoms doesn't allow the government to require immigrants to stay in the province, it can at least monitor where they settle.

The province said affected applicants can submit a new application under the business applicant category of the nominee program and those applications will be given priority processing.

有些事情大家都心知肚明，NB省之所以这么给出比联邦低这么多的条件就是因为这里太穷了，需要吸引更多的投资和人才。移民合同里也写明了如果你选择来NB你应该在这里至少住满多少年。当然这种承诺在有些中国人和中国移民公司眼里是等同于没有的，为了不给联邦政府交８０万，先来NB呆几天，然后就拍屁股走人，更有甚者连来都不来的，直接去温哥华登陆的。现在好了，连那些真正想来NB安家的人都来不了了。

有些话憋了很久了，现在留在SAINT JOHN的通过省题名来的移民们，我赞你们是信守承诺的；对于那些答应NB省政府要移民到NB给当地经济做贡献许了诺也签了字然后不到一个月就已经不在的人，我只想对你说，在加拿大，承诺的分量，特别是你在跟政府打交道的时候，要比现在的国内重的多，务必小心，因为你的永久居民和枫叶卡加拿大政府是随时可以回收的，毕竟这种行为已经属于移民诈骗，要不然NB省政府不会把问题搞的这么严重。

只是些心里话，绝对没有针对个人，如有冒犯敬请原谅。

非也，只是投资提名重新洗牌了。作为学生的话，毕业后工作一年在走省提名没有问题的

上面说的是针对中国人的省提名呀 没有说是工作还是商业啊 还是以后就只能技术移民了

省提名分两种 一种是工作的提名 另一种是投资商业 这里新闻说叫停省提名 那估计两个都叫停了！

貌似只针对投资移民。其它新闻里只提到投资额$60,000和$75,000等数字，这些只有投资移民才有关的。

停的是先交6万保证金的投资移民实验项目。

2010年2月后所有办NB PNP投资移民的都要交7万5的保证金，不管申请人来自哪个国家。

还没有通过实验项目移民成功的，可以重新按新要求申请办理。

很多国人净干一些自断自己人后路的事，素质啊。。。
当然，某些移民公司在里面也起了推波助澜的作用。
省政府也有很大一部分责任没起到，该检讨的也应该有这些规则制定者，而不能把板子全打在中国人屁股上。

现在好了，大家都玩完了，中国人的形象在NB省也算玩完了，借助媒体，中国人又在加拿大出了回坏风头

The Chinese Pilot Program ($60,000) is a Passive Investment Program and many people took advantages and never invest or even stay in NB Province.

The present Investor Program (deposit $75,000 to Govt.) and require your active management of business in NB, with business net assets $125,000. This calls for investors' previous business experiences to be utilized in NB (transferable skills), create local job opportunities and bring economic prosperity in NB.

For students graduated in NB, must apply for Work Permit within 90 days after graduation. Get a job equivalent to NOC Occupation code O, A or B for at least 6 months and a reasonable pay, then can apply for NB PNP. On the other hand, with your Work permit (3 years) you can go to other Provinces and secure a NOC Jobs O, A or B Class for one year, then you can apply for CEC (Federal Canadian Experiences Class). CEC now have more flexibilities and quotas.

O = management position, e.g. general manager
A and B = professional positions, e.g. accountant, programmer, front desk manager, etc.
