Position Overview:
The City of Saint John is seeking qualified applications for the position of Technical Services Engineer with Growth and Development Services. The successful candidate's objective is to support public health within the City of Saint John by ensuring all buildings; structures and properties are planned, constructed and maintained in accordance with all regulated requirements.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Services Engineer, the successful candidate will promote voluntary compliance of municipal by-laws to ensure regulatory requirements are met by all stakeholders. He/she will help administer, enforce and ensure the integrity and relevance of current municipal by-laws. An in-depth knowledge of relevant City by-laws, ordinances and provincial legislation is an asset.

Essential Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering combined with a minimum of two years' experience in an engineering role at progressively higher levels of responsibility, scope and complexity.
