SJMNRC Youth Program: Summer 2013 (June, July, and August)

Youth activities at the Saint John Multicultural & Newcomers Resource Centre (SJMNRC) are FREE for eligible clients. To be eligible, youth MUST be:

 Permanent Residents (who haven’t become Canadian citizens), protected persons under Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), and Convention Refugees (as per Citizenship Immigration Canada (CIC)).

 Eleven to eighteen (11 to 18) years of age. (Note: some summer activities may include children under the age requirements, and their families. These specialized activities will be noted with special instructions for families / guardians).

 Meet with the SJMNRC Youth Program Officer and sign up to become a client with the SJMNRC Youth Program. You may choose more than one activities to attend.

All activities are FREE for youth-members who are eligible under CIC’s requirement. To become a member, youth MUST register with the SJMNRC’s Youth Program Officer.

 It is important to remember to sign up quickly as there are limited seats available for each activity!

 Things you may need and / or want to bring to the activities: lunch, drinks, snacks, hats, sunscreen, running shoes, swimsuits and towels (Keep in mind: items such as microwaves are not available in many of the locations; and please bring food that’s peanut FREE).

 Be responsible for your belongings. (SJMNRC will not be responsible for any item lost.)

 Once you have signed up with the SJMNRC Youth Program, you will receive bi-weekly updates via email regarding the activities happening during the summer.

 If transportation is an issue when considering an activity, SJMNRC assistance may be available.
